NES Clean Up Video Diary #4

It’s been a long process but today I am uploaded the very first episode of “8-bit” in which I give a little history to the NES and then show you how to make a non-functioning NES a functioning NES.

NES Clean up Video Diary #3

It’s been awhile since I’ve made an entry and that’s because I have been hard at work finishing up this project.  The first draft clocked in at just over 14 minutes.  I showed the draft to Adam (my Creative Consultant) and he offered some suggestions that were mostly already on my mind.  The big thing to come out our conversation is that he is going to put together the intro.  So anyway, I have a few more edits to do on this thing just to tighten it up a little and then I think it’ll be ready for prime time.

In the meantime, here’s the opening credits music.  See if you can guess which games are used here.

NES Torn ApartThe footage successfully converted from AVCHD to DV.  It took most of the night.  I have to say that I think the footage looks real nice even then it was rendered from HD to SD.  I’ve begun logging the tape and taking notes for the narration.  I had forgotten that shooting more footage means that you have to log more footage.  Hopefully things will move along quicker once I have this logged and a script written.  In the meantime, here is a capture from the DV footage.

TFICast 63: The Big Brown PodCast

Jeremy runs into an old friend who poo-poos the idea of The Fundamental Interconnectedness of all Things which leads to a discussion of how TFICast fits amonst the plethora of other podcasts.  The guys obtain a new Nintendo Entertainment System, play a game of MULE and then relate it to society.  “TFICast 43: Garage Sale the Movie” resurfaces and Jeremy regrets selling the stuff that he did (however the regret almost instantly resolves itself).  Jeremy and Erik discuss the money trap that is Disney World.  Jeremy finds it difficult to articulate most thoughts.  A parallel between school extracurricular activities and being an electronics dork is made.  Jeremy and Erik reminisce about how cumbersome computers were in the mid to late 80s.
