The Haunted Buffalo Radio Show 017 – Paranormal Investigators – G.W.N.Y.P.S!

thb-Gwnyps_002-300Here we have the second of probably many installments of fantastic discussion with Dan Klaes, founder of Greater Western New York Paranormal Society and group member Lynn Czekaj (who happened to also be in the movie Sharknado 2)! In this episode we talk about their adventures at Varysburg Hotel, Caz Library, Willows Weep in Indiana & other tidbits of paranormalnormalness, as well as some upcoming goodness at the Williamsville Water Mill Complex. As par for the para-course, the spirits made it a techy mess at first, but it seemed to have quickly shaped up for a fun listen.  GWNYPS is a paranormal research group based out of Buffalo, NY. In its field, its widely regarded as a hard working team. In 2013, during the 8 month filming of the Inaugural season of the documentary show Behind the Shadows, the team continued to provide private residential investigations that would sometimes stretch over the course of multiple weeks and over 27 locations. The team never stopped investigating after the filming wrap-up for season one. Within a month, they began filming Behind the Shadows Season 2, which is currently being featured on ParanormalWarehouse.com. Anyway, these guys have a lot of great info and stories to tell and so much to look forward to in the future! Check ‘em out at www.gwnyps.com

The Haunted Buffalo Radio Show 016 – Corvis Nocturnum!

thb-corvis-nocturnum_300This Week on The Haunted Buffalo Radio Show, my guest is the incomparable Corvis Nocturnum of Dark Moon Press (among many other endeavors). I’ve had the pleasure of meeting up with Mr. Nocturnum on several occasions and if I had to describe
him in one word, it would be gentleman. When last we met, I was lucky enough to sit in on his lecture, regarding Haunted Asylums and catch a glimpse of another spark of genius; “Eerie America: Travel Guide of the Macabre”. In this interview, we talk about the origins of Corvis, his early years and enlightenment. We discuss his early love of literature and art, his journey into pursuing such, as his personal obsessions and his current volume of works. We talk for a bit on his ascent into the church of Satan and what that truly means to the layman as well as a bit on vampire subculture. We cap off a lively conversation with talk of his brainchild: “Eerie America, A Travel Guide of the Macabre” in both book and hopefully network television formats. I would like to have dug into his knowledge base of haunted asylums, but we’ll have to save that for another night. If you happen to see that Corvis will be lecturing or speaking in your area, def take the time to stop by for an insightful session on whatever the topic may be. Super worth it! The tune played at the end of the show is aptly titled “Penitentiary”, by the band The Anti-Bodies! Please enjoy!

The Haunted Buffalo Radio Show 015 – Old timey reporting of The Van Horn Mansion!

THB-RadioShow_170-2In this fine episode, I take you back to when I was a mere, roving reporter of the unknown, so unknown that I didn’t even know! Join me for an enjoyable evening (for me anyway) at the Van Horn Mansion in Burt NY, where we talk about the house spirits with those that know them the best, the awesome caretakers of the estate! Hear about the little girl ghost in the coach house, the servant spirits and the whispers of Melinda, vocalized as the wind that flows past the windows on such a dark and star lit stormy night. Enjoy!

The Haunted Buffalo Radio Show 014 – Ghost Stories and the LAST Houdini Seance!

THB-RadioShow_170-2Yesssir Folkers, The title says it all! We start off with some words on Spiritualism from the ghostly lips of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle himself, followed by a slew of … wait … what exactly is a slew? Hold on a min, while I check Wikipedia … OK, yes, a slew of ghost stories, or at least a few, AND THEN, the entire and original broadcast of the final Houdini seance, from the top of the Knickerbocker hotel in Hollywood, CA, from way back in 1936. This was the last in a series of ten seances after his death, one each year for ten years. Did I mention that I love public archive recordings? Enjoy!

The Haunted Buffalo Radio Show 009 – G.W.N.Y.P.S Volume 1

thb-Gwnyps_001-300Here we have the first of probably many installments of fantastic discussion with Dan Klaes and Louie the Photographer of Greater Western New York Paranormal Society! One thing about this episode, is that I was super loaded on vodka, as the several drinks I had hit me a lot harder than I figured. So, there are a few extra moments of rambling and brotherly love on my part, and at some point after the 45 min mark, the show went haywire, started playing some music over everything and Skype audio shut down. I blame spirits for messing with us, in true prankster fashion. Anyway, these guys have a lot of great info and stories to tell and so much to look forward to in the future! Listen as I try to speak in an eloquent manner, recanting white house ghost accounts from the 1800’s! Listen as I speak about Lincoln’s prophecy and spooky stove top stuffing hat!  Hear me read and excerpt that is an account from author Tim Shaw’s book about his experiences at Old Fort Niagara! But wait! There’s more! I also opened a beer can, my voice broke a lot, I read stories moving from one dialect from another and even think I channeled Homer Simpson at one point. So, before blowing your fingers off to celebrate our countries beautiful freedoms, use them to click the mouse and hear all the bizarreness for yourself!
